I’m so excited to share that I recently came third in a sock competition run by Corgi Socks.
Back in December 2017 this quirky and oh so British sock brand gave design students the opportunity to design a pair of socks in celebration of their 100th Year Anniversary. After viewing their website I knew exactly the type of design I wanted to submit. I love their ‘scene’ style socks that represent all things British.
After a recent countryside walk with a friend we stood captivated watching a kingfisher fly up and down the river bank. The iridescent blue was mesmerising. We had the good fortune to watch it fish and catch one! I knew I wanted to capture that joy and that moment into a kingfisher design. When I saw the competition advertised on the Make It In Design website I knew exactly where that little kingfisher was going to appear. The design I submitted is above.
